DO NOW: Snake Oil You will be given a post-it note with four words on it. I will give the whole class a "target audience" to sell a product to. Select two of your words to create a new invention. You will have 30 seconds to pitch the product to the target audience. We will vote on the best invention (you can't vote for your own). OPPORTUNITY!: I will be staying after school in the Ray Bradbury room on Tuesday (tomorrow) to work with students who are missing work for this class. Recommended. DO NOW: Press Conference One volunteer to step outside while we determine the situation. Ask questions that will hint at the situation, but doesn't give it away. Our questions can inch closer to a reveal as we go. SCREENING PARTY w/FISHBOWL: We will watch videos one at a time. You will be assigned one video to take feedback notes for. After each video, we will give feedback with a "fishbowl" protocol: 1. Anyone assigned to the video sits in a circle in the middle. 2. Discuss your feedback with the others. Use notes, but also converse. 5 minutes. 3. One chair will be left open for other students to step into the fishbowl. 4. The creator of the video takes notes on the feedback they are receiving. 5. At the end of the fishbowl, the creator of the video shares one takeaway from the feedback. TICKET OUT: What was your favorite moment in one of the videos we watched today?
