DO NOW: Set up the room. Push the tables to the edge of the room. Make a ring of 14 chairs. Play Hep until class starts at 2:35. WARM UP GAME: Play Cat & Mouse or Pirate Ship (in the gym) REHEARSAL: Both groups, run through your performance once in the classroom for the other group. 1) Tiny Jim's Sleepless Nights Jorge, Alex, Owen, Kaeden, Kaileyanna, Bella 2) AJ is a Meany Cast: Quinn, Oliver, Donovan, Ray, AJ, Cooper, Trever PLAY: After both casts have run through, we will introduce Name Six. One player sits in the middle. The other players sit in a circle around them. The center player chooses someone else to name a letter of the alphabet. The center player names six objects that start with that letter of the alphabet. While they are naming objects, the circle passes around a totem. If the object gets back to start before six things are named, the center player repeats. If the center player names six things in time, the last player holding the object switches to the center.

Push the tables to the edge of the room. Make a ring of 14 chairs. Play Hep WARM UP: Honey, You Know I Love You, But I Just Can't Smile (play for 5-10 minutes) One player starts in the middle, trying to make other players laugh. The center player focuses on one player at a time. They have free reign to make others laugh, except they can't make physical contact and must keep their words and actions school appropriate. The target player needs to keep a straight face, and ends the 30 seconds by stating the name of the game. If they smile or laugh, they switch spots and become the center player. If they can last 30 seconds and say the title of the game, then the center player moves on to the next player in the circle. PLAY: Double Blind Freeze Two players are on stage, performing a short scene based on suggestions. Two players sit facing away from the performance. Facilitator calls "Freeze" and performers freeze. Seated players turn around, observe, tap out the players, and start a new scene. Play until everyone has a turn in the game. Then transition to... PLAY: Freeze Two players start a scene. Anyone from the audience can call "freeze" and tap out one of the players to start a new scene. |
