CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS 1) Focus on the performer 2) Sit somewhere new 3) Full effort every day 4) Always say "yes" WARM UP: Ip Man x2 BALL TOSS: Pantomime Practice What kind of ball are you going to pass? Think about size, shape and weight. Try passing multiple balls of different types. Can we keep them consistent? PRACTICE: Object Pass Imagine a small object in front of you. Consider its size, weight and shape. Pick it up. Explore the different functions it has. How do you interact with it? PLAY: Freeze TICKET OUT: Give me a pantomime gift on the way out the door. One person is "Ip Man" and targets someone to tag, walking in slow motion. The person they are targeting calls off a different player's name. Ip Man freezes in place. The named player becomes the new Ip Man. If you get tagged, you sit down. Ip Man selects a new target. One conductor points at a storyteller. That individual begins telling a story until someone else is pointed at. Always listen to the story, and continue in a coherent manner.
