DO NOW: Emotional Symphony Performers stand in front of the white board. When the conductor' s arms are high, the emotions should be intense in one direction. When the conductor's arms are low, emotions should be intense in the opposite direction. When the conductor's are are in the middle, emotions are neutral. Two rounds today (2-3 minutes each): First round is the front three tables and back three tables.

DO NOW: Emotional Symphony Stand in small group. Your group will be assigned an emotion. Watch the conductor and raise/lower the emotion as directed. LINE READING: Practice Select 1-2 lines from your text and practice them. SHARE OUT: Circle up in the back. Everyone shares the 1-2 lines (from above) in their best dramatic performance. The next reader shares what emotion they believe the previous reader was going for. DO NOW: Circle Up Share out a company/product that has a distinct ad campaign. (Ad campaign = a series of commercials with common elements.) STUDIO TIME PT. I: Complete the bottom half of the advertisement Hear/Think from yesterday (in Google Classroom). Identify at least 3 commercials within a campaign, and the common elements of the commercials. Within the commercials, describe the elements that are similar and different. TURN & TALK: Line up by height. Turn and talk to the person next to you about the ad campaign you are analyzing.
